Join the opening team of the first JW Marriott in Virginia! Experience a new level of luxury at JW Marriott Reston Station, a stunning 28-story landmark that overlooks Reston Row, a lively urban hub filled with top-notch dining and entertainment options. The hotel features 247 rooms spread across 12 floors, setting a new standard for luxury accommodations in the DMV area.

With the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia, totaling 35,000 sq ft, it includes two ballrooms with 20-foot ceilings and plenty of natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and a large skylight. The JW Residences occupy the remaining 16 floors. This impressive architectural gem is conveniently located along the Silver Line Metro, perfectly positioned between Dulles International and Reagan National airports, providing travelers with exceptional access to the capital region and beyond.

What will you be doing?

  • Prepare and Serve Beverages:

    • Accurately prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other specialty beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences.

    • Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Customer Service:

    • Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service.

    • Engage with customers to take orders, answer questions, and offer recommendations.

  • Maintain Cleanliness and Sanitation:

    • Keep the work area, equipment, and customer seating areas clean and organized.

    • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages.

  • Cash Handling and Point of Sale (POS):

    • Accurately operate the POS system to process payments, handle cash, and issue receipts.

    • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, if applicable.

  • Stocking and Inventory:

    • Replenish supplies such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, napkins, and other café essentials.

    • Assist with inventory counts and notify management of low stock or supply needs.

  • Product Knowledge:

    • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, seasonal offerings, and preparation techniques.

    • Stay up to date with promotions and new items.

REQUIRED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Ability to meet standards of appearance. Can communicate well with guests. Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co workers with their job duties and be a team player.
