The Principal Cloud Engineer serves as the highest-level technical authority for Azure architecture within Stanley Martin Homes. This role defines landing zone architecture, governance frameworks, identity integration, and infrastructure automation standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and implement Azure landing zones
• Establish identity, networking, and security integrations
• Define governance and cost control frameworks

Automation & Modernization

• Implement infrastructure-as-code standards
• Lead migration initiatives from hybrid to cloud
• Optimize cloud performance and cost

Technical Leadership

• Serve as an escalation point for complex cloud challenges
• Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions and communications
• Complete all other duties as assigned by manager
• Adhere to company safety standards and help promote a safe working environment
• Adhere to and promote our Mission, Vision, and Values of Stanley Martin

Position Requirements

• 8–12+ years of infrastructure experience
• Strong experience with IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, etc.)
• Strong networking and identity integration knowledge
