Now Hiring Product Display Assembly Technicians in Reston, Virginia
Do you want to see how merchandise is assembled and displayed? In this role you will build, disassemble, and set up products such as patio sets, play yards, grill cabinets, toolboxes, fitness equipment, gazebos, and patio furniture for major retail chains including Lowe’s and Home Depot.
If you prefer a hands‑on, fast‑paced job where you do not sit still all day and you can start immediately, this position could be a good fit.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure a quality, well‑built product and check for missing pieces.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, guidelines, and procedures.
- Communicate and work well with store management and staff.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard‑free for all team members.
- Report issues, malfunctions, missing, or defective parts.
- Use the smart‑phone app to check schedules and update manufacturing status of jobs.
Required:
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Read and execute assembly instructions, drawings, and manuals.
- Self‑motivated, energetic, and a good communicator.
- Quick learner who thrives on speed production challenges.
- Own tools: impact driver with bits, mouse (w/bits), sockets, metric wrench, screwdrivers, box cutter.
- Professional & respectful communication skills.
- Ability to stand and bend for long periods and lift 65 pounds regularly.
- Good hand‑eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for at least a 25‑mile radius.
- Working mobile phone.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiar with hand tools and power tools.
- 1 year of previous assembly experience.
- Impact driver (w/ assorted bits and 2 batteries).
- Cordless drill with #2 and #3 bits.
- Metric box‑wrench set (w/sockets).
- Philips (head & flat head) screwdrivers; small hammer, box cutter, mallet.
- Smartphone or smart device with WIFI or mobile internet.
- Weekends available.
- Full‑time, part‑time, and on‑call positions available.
Work independently as an In‑Store Merchandise Assembler with some of our biggest retail customers. Our technicians work diligently to keep the display area “showroom ready.”
You will receive paid training, competitive pay rates, flexible schedules, and advancement opportunities. Our techs work with minimal supervision.
Training is provided for inexperienced builders to ensure you are well equipped for the tasks at hand.
Compensation is paid by the finished piece – you get paid for each item you build. The pay rate varies with difficulty, and the faster and more accurately you work, the more you make.
NOTE:
Upon hire you will be a 1099 independent contractor.
We will have our regional manager discuss piece‑rate pay and answer any questions you may have.
