General Manager

As General Manager, you will provide leadership and daily direction for sales and coaching teams in our facility. You will drive membership sales, oversee day‑to‑day activities, lead staff, coordinate personal training and team training sales, promote member retention, and handle conflict resolution as needed.

The GM will ensure efficient and effective performance to meet financial objectives, foster D1 core values, and build community relationships to promote the D1 brand and engage local market activities.

• Own, train and manage the D1 sales process.
• Lead sales and take most client engagements.
• Provide customer service and resolve conflicts.

• Attract, hire, and retain D1 team members; motivate, train, and evaluate the team.
• Foster an authentic, open, transparent culture where feedback is welcomed; communication is key.
• Develop a consistent cadence for team and individual meetings with clear agendas and goals.
• Delegate and empower team members.

• Ensure the facility meets standards for opening/closing, cleanliness, safety, and security; serve as key point of contact for maintenance.
• Process, QC, and submit payroll.
• Maintain proficiency with CRM, MINDBODY, and other D1 systems.
• Prepare and present yearly budgets to ownership; continuously monitor and manage the P&L report.
• Generate organic lead generation and manage it.
• Oversee paid lead generation relationships and tracking.
• Develop community partnerships with schools, clubs, businesses, influencers, charities, and organizations.
• Plan and execute successful off‑site events such as fairs, events, and games.

• Demonstrate all four core values.
• Enjoy fitness and understand the mission and philosophy of D1.

• 2‑5 years of experience in the fitness industry.
• 2 years supervising others in a retail or fitness environment.
• Organized, dependable, and coachable.
