Overview
Leidos is seeking an E-Discovery
Project Supervisor to work on site in support of the Department of Justice in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced and diverse environment and will have a management team that encourages your career development and growth.
- Works under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Coordinates and tracks daily and weekly assignments from DOJ attorneys.
- Supervise and assign tasks to a team of up to 6 Paralegals that perform moderately complex assigned tasks while complying with established procedures.
- Downloads electronic case filings (ECFs) from PACER
- Uploads the electronic case filings to the automated matters systems
- Enters filing information into a case tracking system
- Creates and provides links to the electronic case filings to the DOJ Attorneys
- Responds to DOJ attorney requests for filing information and retrieval
- Compiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motions, briefs and other legal documents
- Conducts simple to moderately complex database searches
- Performs simple legal research
- Indexes, tracks and controls document discovery, depositions, and trial
- Prepares exhibit cross-references
- Assists attorneys in courtroom
- Monitors assignments and workflows and adjust as necessary for DOJ requirements and schedules
- Maintains frequent contact with Government COR, Case Managers, trial attorneys, client agency staff, etc., as well as with other Contractor components
- Provides procedural updates to the team and trains team members on tasks, requirements, and responds to DOJ and staff questions
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2+ years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects
- One year of supervisory experience
- Proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate complex and time-critical litigation support activities, including technical/data processing support and eDiscovery activities.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of litigation support.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, including data processing environments, office automation, internet and server-based databases, and other applications, such as Relativity or other document review platforms.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery procedures and resources.
- User of the office and network environments, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and hardware systems.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Supervisory or management experience overseeing docket & document review, ideally with PACER is preferred.
- Experience with docket and document review, ideally with PACER, specifically.
- Experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Paralegal experience helpful.
- Law degree, technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree.
The salary for this position will be $90,000.
