Tanium is growing and is searching for a dynamic IT Systems Business Analyst that will play a pivotal role in leading strategic projects that support the company’s objectives. The Business Analyst will leverage strong analytical skills and experience with IT workflows and systems to partner with business stakeholders and deliver insightful analysis and recommendations. Critical tasks include establishing trusted partnerships, understanding stakeholder processes, exposing gaps and inefficiencies, and driving automation and optimization.

Responsibilities include eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements; creating and maintaining process flow diagrams; developing user stories; and participating in solution design. The analyst promotes a culture of high visibility and transparency, maintaining clear and consistent communication to ensure stakeholder expectations are met and project status is updated.

A key responsibility is to maintain a keen awareness of how projects across different departments interconnect and impact each other. The Business Analyst must understand the broader IT landscape, including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and recognize interdependencies across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, GTM, and Human Resources. This holistic perspective is essential for identifying synergy opportunities, minimizing duplication, and ensuring scalable, enterprise-aligned solutions.

The right candidate will have a solid understanding of common IT technologies such as the Microsoft technology stack and related platforms. Experience with corporate data warehousing, back‑office systems, and enterprise data warehouses is required. Familiarity with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, GTM and Human Resources business processes and supporting technologies is desired. Strong technical and analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering impactful business solutions are essential.

The IT Systems Business Analyst reports to the Manager, Data Engineering and works closely with all areas of our G&A functions.

This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week:
Addison, TX;
Bellevue, WA;
Durham, NC;
Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.
