Sr. Technical Writer; CI Poly

Position: Sr. Technical Writer (CI Poly)
Location: Reston, VA
Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a Sr. Technical Writer with an active TS/SCI and CI Poly. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.

What you'll do:

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise written content and visual materials
• Develop and maintain system documentation, technical diagrams, SOPs, and user guides
• Create and update technical roadmaps, workflows, and other visual artifacts to support planning and communication
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and project managers to gather and refine technical requirements
• Produce communication materials for senior government stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
• Ensure all documentation aligns with project goals, client expectations, and security classification requirements
• Support the development of briefing materials and reports used in recurring client engagements
• Work independently to manage documentation tasks and deliverables under tight deadlines

Must Have

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.
• 7+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, knowledge manager, or in a similar content-focused role.
• Experience using a content management system or an intranet (e.g., Git Lab, Confluence, Drupal) to publish, maintain, and govern documentation and knowledge assets.
• Experience developing technical diagrams, charts, and graphics for a variety of audiences.
• Experience supporting technical teams with writing templates, SOPs, and style guides grounded in human-centered design (HCD) and writing-for-the-web best practices.
• Ability to work independently, and experience working in an Agile Software environment.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience using AI tools to streamline knowledge management processes (for example, content drafting, updating front-door/landing pages, tagging, and curation).
• Knowledge of User Experience (UX) or Human-Factors (HF) best practices when it comes to content comprehension and readability
• Experience with 508 accessibility standards for writing for the web.
• Experience working in large scale, cloud infrastructure, container platform or Dev Sec Ops  projects
• Experience working with cybersecurity analysts and engineers to develop artifacts associated with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process or authorizations such as an Authorization-to-Operate (ATO).
• Ability to produce work products quickly that resonate with senior leaders--technical and non-technical alike
• Experience with Information Architecture (IA) research and best practices
