Our team helps make the Internet work by successfully integrating customer web applications onto our Intelligent platform. We support government customers from the US and Canada, such as Civilian, DOD, State, Local and Education. Using cutting edge web acceleration and security technologies with bold innovation, we maximize the value for customers.

As an Engagement Manager II, you will be responsible for:

• Strategizing to establish key relationships, building and maintaining a project pipeline and delivering customer targets effectively
• Partnering with pre-sales to educate customers on Akamai services and solutions to make the best recommendations for their needs
• Maximizing customer satisfaction, retention, and growth based on the customer's needs and business requirements
• Being the central point of contact for the customer and cross-functional teams
• Owning program management and acting as a trusted advisor to ensure customers get maximum value from our solutions

• Have US citizenship, due to the nature of our client base
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the consulting process to identify the best solutions and ensure customer success
• Show experience of managing and delivering technical customer projects successfully
• Demonstrate understanding of network technologies, web performance, web security, methodologies or architectures
• Be a natural communicator with an ability to build trusting relationships and ensure customer success
• Be a team player with an ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
• Possess a technical aptitude and a desire to constantly learn new technologies

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US-based candidates, the base salary range is $108,900 - $226,100/year, determined by factors including experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The package may include incentive compensation, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). We offer a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, 401(k), holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave, and an employee assistance program.
