- Government, Defense & Intelligence is seeking a highly experienced and motivated senior data engineer to join our Consulting Services organization to implement and manage data solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role will work closely with cross‑functional teams to optimize data pipelines, secure sensitive information, and ensure governance across the organization’s cloud data ecosystem on a modern domain‑driven autonomous data warehouse.
This role is a full-time, in-person position, primarily based in the office with occasional visits to client sites. We are seeking candidates who reside in the Virginia/Washington DC region.

US:
Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non‑overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation. - 11 paid holidays

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement secure and scalable data pipelines for data transformation enablement utilizing cloud‑based services.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and governance teams to implement and maintain data protection strategies in line with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with data design and data modeling.
- Design and deliver solutions that ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability throughout data ingestion, processing, and storage life cycles.
- Build and manage metadata and cataloging frameworks to ensure data discoverability, lineage, and governance.
- Prepare, transform, and analyze large datasets for modeling and analytics to enhance data transformations.
- Build and maintain logical data models.
- Experience designing, building, and securing data on cloud platforms.
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
- Experience designing, building, and securing data pipelines and platforms.
- Strong foundation in data security principles, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience automating data workflows and ETL processes in a secure, cloud‑based environment.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, SQL, Shell) and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Data Management, Oracle Cloud Security)
- Experience with additional security and monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle SIEM, Oracle Cloud Guard)
- Familiarity with regulated environments
- Deep experience with data warehouse design
- Experience working with large datasets and designing solutions for data quality and governance
- Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
