CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Test Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast‑paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side‑by‑side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years! This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Lead to oversee and drive testing activities across complex enterprise applications. This role is responsible for leading the full testing lifecycle, including application analysis, test strategy definition, test case and script development, execution, defect management, and reporting.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the organization's Testing Center of Excellence (CoE), contributing to testing standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition to hands‑on leadership, the role may require mentoring team members and supporting end‑user training as needed. This position involves managing multiple testing efforts simultaneously while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

• 15+ years of overall testing experience, including requirements analysis, test planning, execution, and results analysis

• 2+ years of experience leading testing efforts or managing testing teams on projects of comparable scope and complexity

• Proven experience leading enterprise-level testing initiatives and Testing CoE strategy or transformation

• Strong background in testing web applications, SOA/Web Services, data warehouse and ETL systems, and Java-based backend applications

• Deep understanding of testing methodologies, processes, and quality assurance best practices

• Hands‑on experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test suites using ACCELQ

• Demonstrated ability to lead automation efforts across multiple enterprise applications

• Familiarity with codeless, AI-driven testing approaches, particularly within ACCELQ

• Practical experience working in both Agile and Waterfall development models

• Solid knowledge of test management and project tracking tools such as HP ALM, Rally, and JIRA

• Strong SQL skills, particularly with Oracle databases

• Comfortable working in Unix and Windows environments

• Experience implementing test automation frameworks and approaches

• Working knowledge of ATDD/BDD practices and Gherkin syntax

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Clear, effective communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

• Proven leadership experience managing testing teams across multiple projects

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
