IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst, IT Consultant
Job Title: Agile Project Manager
Location: Reston, Virginia 20190 (3 days onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Agile Project Manager (Modeling) to support agile teams in a complex enterprise software development environment. In this role, you will guide teams in applying agile principles and practices while ensuring alignment with program objectives and delivery timelines. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating across multiple teams, managing dependencies, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead and facilitate team planning activities, progress reviews, and improvement sessions.
- Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to refine priorities, establish goals, and track metrics.
- Coordinate timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple teams and ensure governance standards are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing onboarding support and regular status updates to leadership.
- Identify risks, elevate impediments, and foster collaboration with support teams (e.g., Infosec, Architecture, Cloud CoE).
- Organize and facilitate team planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, and team backlogs.
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
- Track team performance metrics and ensure transparency of progress.
- Coordinate product releases and ensure compliance with governance processes.
- Drive alignment and recommend improvements across teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and experience applying them in practice.
- Experience managing projects in an agile environment, including sprint, release, and PI planning.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence and Apptio.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Project Manager in an agile setting.
- Professional certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Agile PM) preferred.
- Mortgage industry experience is a plus.

Pay Range: $75 – 80/hr the specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
