Position Overview

Vega is seeking a UI/UX Frontend Software Developer with 7+ years of experience supporting mission-critical federal programs. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and experience working in classified environments. The ideal candidate blends strong frontend development skills with UI/UX design expertise to deliver intuitive, efficient user experiences for complex mission systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications

Translate mission requirements into intuitive UI/UX solutions

Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and visual designs

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments

Conduct user research and iterate designs based on feedback

Establish and maintain UI/UX standards and best practices

Improve operational efficiency through user-centered software solutions

Required Qualifications

7+ years of UI/UX and frontend development experience

Experience with Vue.js or Angular

Strong UI/UX portfolio and design-to-development experience

Bachelors degree in CS, IT, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

DoD or Intelligence Community experience

Strong HTML, CSS, and responsive design skills

Experience with Type Script, jQuery, or Python

Familiarity with SQL, Docker, and containerized environments

Experience with Git Hub/Git Lab, Jira, and Confluence

Comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
