Space Technology Subject Matter Expert

As a Space Technology Subject Matter Expert with MTSI you will be a lead advisor to DoD program managers and technical directors for the evaluation and transition of advanced space systems.

• Provide direct support to a Department of Defense customer for the Space Security and Defense Program.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to program staff in space-based systems, multi-domain systems, and classified technology transition.
• Initiate, supervise, and develop requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs.
• Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff.
• Provide detailed analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.

• 15 years of relevant DoD/IC or with no less than five (5) years in a SAP and/or SCI environment.
• Experience in space technology, space architectures, air‑space integration, and space control systems.
• Self‑starter, able to take initiative, work independently, and recognize management issues that need escalation.
• Excellent oral, written, and reporting communication skills.
• Ability to work in a flexible, fast‑paced, and highly dynamic environment.
• Ability to multi‑task and maintain deadline punctuality during pressurized situations.

• Master’s Degree in a science, engineering, or technical field.
• PhD degree in a science, engineering, or technical field desired.

• Top Secret, SCI Eligible; SAP experience within last 5 years or SCI in lieu of.
