Position: FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR

Overview

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is honored to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented Food & Beverage Supervisor for the grand opening of JW Marriott Reston Station Residences this Fall. Join the opening team of the first JW Marriott in Virginia and contribute to a new level of luxury within JW Reston Station.

The hotel features 247 rooms across 12 floors, a large luxury meeting space (totaling 35,000 sq ft) with two ballrooms, and JW Residences occupying the remaining floors. Located along the Silver Line Metro between Dulles International and Reagan National airports, it provides easy access to the capital region and beyond.

Our spaces are designed with elevated, intentional experiences, combining personalized service, curated culinary offerings, and seamless coordination—rooted in the JW standard of luxury hospitality. The Simon, Schar Bar, and JW Market Café offer a refined dining and hospitality experience.

What you will be doing
  • Monitor servers and busperson adherence to all service standards.
  • Supervise service of guests, being attentive to signals from guests in need of service.
  • Assist manager to establish and monitor sidework duty completion.
  • Maintain bank to Crescent standards.
  • Read daily communication sheets from the previous shift and prepare one for the following shift; check floor plan for appropriate coverage.
  • Check restaurant for cleanliness and setup; check service stands, aisle areas, and tables for cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Communicate daily with restaurant manager regarding special events, house counts, etc.
  • Assist restaurant manager in conducting menu classes and tastings.
  • Provide clear direction to staff both verbally and in writing.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Ability to meet standards of appearance and to communicate well with guests.
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis during the shift.
  • Willingness to pitch in and help coworkers as part of a team.
