Medical Receptionist - Cosmetic Surgery

Reston, VA

Pay From: $21 per hour

MUST:
  • Experienced Patient Care Coordinator or Medical Receptionist
  • Must have 2+ years of current Patient Care Coordinator experience
  • Must have experience scheduling appointments
  • Must have experience with EMR
  • Must have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Spanish and English speaking is highly preferred
  • Plastic Surgery or Dermatology experience is highly preferred
DUTIES:
  • Use a multi-line phone system to answer and appropriately route all incoming calls.
  • Conduct follow‑up calls to patients to discuss the patient's progress and address any concerns.
  • Refer non‑routine, sensitive and/or complex requests for information and other inquiries or complaints to the appropriate staff member.
  • Ensure that each patient receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every patient, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
  • Assist with daily monitoring of inventory levels of all clinical and office supplies.
  • Daily scanning and uploading of documents in patient files.
  • Train additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician.
  • Participate in clinic marketing efforts and provide ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success.
  • Prepare laboratory order forms.
  • Obtain patient laboratory results.
  • Assist physician or mid‑level practitioner with patient referrals to other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR.
  • Perform other clinical duties as required.
