Assistant Controller​/Hybrid​/Reston, VA

Our client, a global automotive leader, is hiring for a contract Assistant Controller. This is a hybrid position in Reston, Virginia.

This role provides support to the Regional Controller in performing forecast activities (short term planning) accordingly with planning process needs, perform analysis and monitor results. The role provides Controlling with financial and economic analysis to support decision-making processes. The role provides support and coordination to the activity of Internal Control System and Quality Management System.

Contract Duration: 9 Months

• 3+ years of related finance experience
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience developing efficient and effective processes for operations and field groups
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft PowerPoint is a plus
• Familiar with SAP Accounting and Reporting Systems a plus
• Bachelors degree in business administration, economics or engineering
• Able to do limited travel required for occasional meetings and training

• Experience in working on reporting projects, and knowledge of how to oversee such projects
• Strong understanding of financial measurement, to a level enabling critical analysis of business proposals and solutions
• Business savvy - understanding operational environment and timings
• Planning skills - translation of operational topics into the world of finance and controlling
• Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written
• Computer savvy - skilled in the use of standard Microsoft Office, Business apps
• Integration - joining people, processes or systems
• Change management - foster a process and compliance-driven environment
• Responsible for ensuring that the Function operates in accordance with site policies and procedures in respect of Health and Safety, in order to ensure the safety of Colleagues and visitors
