Systems Engineer
Position Summary
Global C2 Integration Technologies (GC2IT) is seeking a Systems Engineer who applies a holistic, lifecycle-driven engineering approach to design, integrate, evaluate, and sustain complex systems. This role transforms operational needs into traceable technical requirements and ensures solutions are robust, testable, compliant, and positioned for long-term performance and scalability.
Responsibilities- Translate operational concepts, customer objectives, and high-level strategies into quantifiable system requirements and technical specifications with full lifecycle traceability.
- Support the design, integration, and implementation of hardware and software systems, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and customer expectations.
- Participate in and lead design reviews to validate requirements, maintainability, durability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop verification strategies, acceptance criteria, and test procedures, support system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and documentation of results.
- Conduct system modeling, simulation, and analysis to evaluate performance, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Evaluate proposed enhancements and assess impacts to performance, integration, sustainment, and lifecycle cost.
- Conduct system audits and generate reports to ensure adherence to technical standards, configuration control, and contractual requirements.
- Support configuration management, documentation updates, and technical baseline control.
- Research emerging technologies and evaluate COTS hardware/software for suitability and integration feasibility.
- Develop technology roadmaps and engineering estimates to support modernization and long-term capability evolution.
- Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, system design, integration, or lifecycle engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, requirements development, verification/validation, and design review processes.
- Experience with system modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.
- Experience integrating hardware and software components within complex environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Active Top Secret/SCI (ISSA) clearance required.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages.
- Experience in evaluating and integrating emerging technologies and COTS solutions.
- Experience developing technical cost estimates and modernization plans.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience supporting compliance with government or industry regulatory frameworks.
