As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will manage all Google cable landing stations power feed equipment systems and power operations. You will be the PFE expert, ensuring a quality acceptance procedure from build to operations. You will work closely with key suppliers, consortia partners, telcos, customers, internal central operations teams, network teams, finance and regulatory to ensure network availability and reliability, optimum infrastructure performance, solid customer experience, and PFE facility operational excellence.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $156,000–$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities- Manage regional PFE power systems throughout their life‑cycle, ensuring technical acceptance, operational excellence, and maximum reliability through the development and implementation of standards, procedures, maintenance strategies, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee the performance of PFE/subsea systems and subcontractors, leading service restoration efforts in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Partner with location teams on utility engagement and energy strategies, developing energy plans, supporting discussions, designing alternative solutions, and implementing cost‑saving measures.
- Provide on‑site PFE expertise during critical situations, support regional teams with troubleshooting, and ensure security compliance.
- Forecast regional power needs, manage on‑site Programs on Demand (POD) installations, discuss and manage third‑party support agreements, optimize processes, and conduct risk analyses.
