Key RoleLeverages physics expertise to test and analyze physical phenomena to support S&T client challenges. Applies advanced skills or extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction, mentors, and may supervise team members.
Basic Qualifications- 11+ years of experience with conducting systems engineering or research developing and advancing physics-based models, including atmospheric transport or biological weapons effects
- 5+ years of experience with computational dynamics and modeling, including solving partial differential equations using numerical methods such as finite element, finite volume, and finite difference
- Experience in creating software tools that generate images with realistic, physics-based artifacts and qualities, supporting anomaly detection and classification
- Experience with physics principles, mathematical modeling, and programming languages such as Python, C++, or Fortran
- Ability to evaluate all project aspects, including design, development, execution, and implementation of chemical and biological research
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics or Applied Mathematics
- Experience as a principal investigator
- Experience with DoD agencies
- Experience with military operations, biological command, control, communications, survivability, and hard target defeat
- Knowledge of systems engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
- Knowledge of weapons control technology
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Master’s degree in Physics or Applied Mathematics

CompensationSalary range $99,000.00 to $ (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
