About the Opportunity

Job Overview

The External Communications team is looking for a Content & Design Intern who loves storytelling and

isn't afraid to get creative. If you're someone who enjoys writing compelling copy and designing eye
- catching visuals, this is your chance to flex both sides of your brain.

Reporting to the Director of Content Production and Design, you'll work alongside Senior Graphic

Designers, Content Producers, and cross-functional partners across Communications and Marketing. Our

team shapes how Ellucian shows up externally - from thought leadership and press releases to

executive messaging and strategic marketing communications.

You'll help turn complex ideas into clear, engaging stories, and bring those stories to life visually

Where you will make an impact

* Help draft and edit external communications including press releases, thought leadership

pieces, marketing copy, and internal messaging.

* Design branded visual assets in Canva (and Adobe tools, if you have experience) for one-pagers,

presentations, reports, and digital content.

* Partner with designers and content producers to support campaigns and storytelling initiatives.

* Transform complex topics into clear, audience-friendly messaging.

* Leverage AI tools to support content development, brainstorming, editing, and design.

* Ensure content and design align with Ellucian's brand voice and visual standards.

* Bring fresh ideas to brainstorming sessions.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization on high-visibility communications project

What you will bring

* Currently enrolled in a community college or 4-year institution.

* A passion for storytelling, communications, marketing, journalism, or design.

* Copywriting experience (class projects, internships, campus orgs, freelance work - it all counts!).

* Proficiency in Canva.

* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) is a plus.

* Strong writing skills with attention to clarity and tone.

* A creative eye for design and layout.

* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

* Openness to feedback and eagerness to grow.

* A collaborative, positive attitude and curiosity to learn.
