OverviewIn this dynamic role, you will:
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Maintain professional accountability for your assigned patients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by your team.
- Coordinate patient care with various departments.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
- Perform your duties in alignment with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Education: Graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in your state or compact licensure.
Experience & CertificationsRequired:
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire).
Depending on your unit, additional certifications may include:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
This position involves:
- Regularly pushing, pulling, and/or lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Performing tasks that require gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
