Seattle Express, a trusted Traxx America subsidiary, provides essential shuttle transfers for thousands of cruise passengers between Sea-Tac Airport, nearby hotels, and the iconic piers (Pier 66 & Pier 91). As a Passenger Services Coordinator, you'll play a key role in delivering smooth, safe, and welcoming experiences for travelers starting or ending their Alaska or beyond adventures.
This seasonal position offers flexible, outdoor work with a dynamic team during the busy April October cruise monthsperfect for those seeking meaningful short-term work, supplemental income, or a fun way to stay active in one of the Pacific Northwest's most exciting industries.
Key Responsibilities Passenger & Shuttle Coordination Guide passengers efficiently to the correct shuttle staging areas for a stress-free start to their journey
Support check-in processes and verify manifests to ensure accurate boarding
Relay real-time load counts and departure readiness to dispatch for seamless operations
Keep loading zones safe, organized, and welcoming
Monitor service flow and proactively escalate any operational challenges
Luggage Handling Safely and efficiently load/unload passenger luggage
Organize compartments smartly to maximize space and minimize risk of damage
Provide friendly assistance with heavy or oversized bags Operational Support Collaborate closely with drivers, dispatch, and terminal staff to keep everything running smoothly
Maintain calm, professional communicationeven during peak congestion periods
Step in to handle special service requests as directed
What We're Looking For Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure in fast-paced environments
Tech-savvy (comfortable with basic apps, manifests, or mobile devices)
Strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up every scheduled shift
Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Prior experience in transportation, hospitality, events, logistics, or customer-facing roles is a plusbut not required; we provide training!
Physical Requirements Capable of repeatedly lifting 50+ lbs Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
Able to work outdoors in Seattle's variable weather (rain or shine)
Quick and agile in busy, high-traffic terminal environments
Work Environment On-site at high-energy locations:
Seattle Cruise Terminals (Pier 66 / Bell Street & Pier 91 / Smith Cove)
Sea-Tac Airport and surrounding hotels
