* Summary:
** The National Immigrant Women Advocacy Project (NIWAP) is seeking undergraduate students. We are a national provider of training, legal and social science research, policy development, and technical assistance to advocates, attorneys, pro bono law firms, law schools, universities, law enforcement, prosecutors, social service and health care providers, justice system personnel, and other professionals who work with immigrant crime victims.
*
* Essential Functions:
*** Assist NIWAP legal staff and dean’s fellows with technical assistance inquiries from around the country about issues specific to immigrant victims of crime.
* Coordinate with NIWAP’s Deputy Director to facilitate the Communities of Practice for Attorneys and Victim Advocates, including managing membership, planning, and updating the community site.
* Coordinate trainings for judges, law enforcement, and others on immigrant victim certification in cases of immigrant crime victims and national training on immigrant victims’ legal rights.
* Update and reorganize NIWAP’s national resource library with new and existing publications.
* Assist NIWAP staff with bi-annual and quarterly grant reports.
* Facilitate communication between the director and policy makers, grantors, law enforcement, and others.
* Assist the Grant Implementation Coordinator with processing payments and reimbursements.
** Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
*** Part-time.
* 15 - 20 hours per week.
** Salary Range:*** $17.95 per hour.
