Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Rover Driver in Renton, WA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location as an armed, driving Patrol Officer. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security‑related incidents, and respond to issues with clear communication and strong customer service. This role calls for integrity, teamwork, and reliability as you support people and property across dynamic facilities while using your training, attention to detail, and calm decision‑making.

- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and deliveries by checking identification, validating authorization, and documenting activity in logs and/or electronic systems.
- Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of security‑related experience.
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Have a minimum of 1 year of armed security and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
