Position Purpose
The National Business Development Manager - Corrections role is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships within the corrections and justice vertical market across multiple geographic regions. This individual will focus on enterprise-level sales opportunities for security technologies such as access control, video surveillance, intercom, perimeter detection, and integrated security systems.
Pay Range: $90,000 - $130,000, plus commission

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting correctional facilities, detention centers, and justice-related institutions across the assigned region.
- Identify, pursue, and close new enterprise business opportunities in the corrections vertical, from prospecting to contract execution.
- Under guidance, manage and expand the assigned territory or portfolio of accounts, which include building owners, end-users, engineers, and contractors. Additionally
O focus directly prospect new end-users when necessary. - Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales opportunities for the designated customers or territory.
- Conduct needs assessments and create compelling sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
- Effectively communicate and demonstrate the technical features of our security systems to ensure customers understand our products and services.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and other internal and external resources as needed to close sales.
- Engage in work-in-progress meetings to stay aligned with ongoing projects.
- Coordinate with operations to create change orders as required.
- Ensure a seamless transition from sales to operations, monitoring project progress to guarantee timely and satisfactory completion.
- Assist in resolving customer issues and managing collections when necessary.
- Provide solutions and guidance to customers regarding the use of company products and services, ensuring appropriate resolutions are offered.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate sales activity reports, forecasts, and expense records.
- Engage in civic and professional organizations, as well as participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars. Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and refine selling, technical, and financial skills.
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the Security Systems industry.
- Conduct market research and Latin competitive analysis to discover new opportunities and effectively position our solutions.
- Share your expertise by leading training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen the team's overall capabilities.
- Collaborate with LONG office's sales and operations teams to sell and execute corrections work in existing LONG territory.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement and contracting vehicles.

Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of sales-related work experience in the corrections sector.
- In-depth knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, electronic principles, electrical systems, monitored alarms, as well as engineering, installation, management, and construction processes.
- Certification in security systems or related fields (e.g., ASIS CPP, PSP).
- Extensive knowledge of correctional standards.
- Moderate technical and financial expertise relevant to the field.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Knowledge of Commercial Security Systems, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
- Possess the practical and technical knowledge necessary to apply and sell products, with a commitment to continuous learning in the field.
- Proven ability to influence decision-making at key organizational levels.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
- Have an aptitude to learn and competently use company estimating tools.
- Ability to understand value engineering, relevant contractual concepts, and possess strong financial awareness.
- Excellent customer service skills, with strong proficiency in computer usage.
- Elevated level of accountability and willingness to take responsibility.
