ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in‑store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick‑up and drive‑up while ensuring exceptional quality.

Typical Day Responsibilities
  • Deliver the service standard by demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
  • Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
  • Inform guests of current promos, store activities and events.
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products and services available to solve issues and improve guest experience.
  • Thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target.
  • Promote and enroll guests in Target Loyalty programs.
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately, complying with food safety standards and company best practices.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
  • Explain features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet.
  • Familiarize with Order Pick‑Up, Drive‑Up and online ordering, directing guests to enroll, activate and use these features.
  • Attempt every return and follow register prompts; partner with Leaders as needed to solve for guests.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area by removing unpurchased items.
  • Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for guests.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
  • Work safely at all times; comply with all safety policies and training; report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as order pick‑up, Drive‑Up orders and returns, maintaining compliance with beverage laws.
  • All other duties based on business needs.

Expectations
  • Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions and support cash office duties.
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 44 pounds.
  • Flexible work schedule, reliable and prompt attendance.
  • Remain mobile for the shift; shift length may vary.
  • Work in varying temperatures, humidity and other conditions while performing duties.
