We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and much more.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly wage: $20.90 to $22.90 per hour
• Commission: eligible to earn unlimited commission above hourly base rate; potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance
• Commission on transactions can average an additional amount per hour on top of base pay (up to 8% commission described)

Position Summary

The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting customers, processing sales and loans, and handling a variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, jewelry, and potentially firearms in FFL locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions
• Perform non-management open/close procedures
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise displayed effectively
• Process sales and loan transactions per policies and regulatory requirements
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies
• Answer incoming calls per company standards
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; work as part of a team to create a positive customer experience
• Complete assigned training and other related duties as needed

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform duties for extended periods
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
• Willing to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored externally as needed
• Minimum age: 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong customer service orientation and team spirit
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math proficiency; cash handling experience preferred
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems
