Position Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager with 2+ years of management and customer service experience (retail/sales is a PLUS). A Store Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store, lead, coach, and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. The Store Manager analyzes financial statements to ensure goals are met and adjusts strategies as needed.

The role commits to the asset protection program through inventory control, following policies and procedures, and securing customers  loans. The Store Manager promotes our business using internal and external marketing tools to acquire new customers. The position involves working with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

This position offers a competitive wage plus a bonus based on store performance. Pay is location and experience dependent. Reports to the area District Manager.

Responsibilities Of a Store Manager

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging with customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Manage inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate store financials and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees about the store s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers on exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
  • Minimum Age: 18;
    High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends/holidays.
  • Store Managers will work 45+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented; strong organizational and analytical skills.
