August 2025 marked 90 years of ministry at Renton Bible Church and a decade of revitalizing work that God has been doing in our midst. The result has been an expansion both in our church building and our kingdom impact leading us to seek a full-time associate pastor who will come alongside our elders and help us raise up, train and support missional leaders to do the work of ministry at RBC.
The man God is calling will be uniquely gifted to help people make meaningful connections and to lead, develop, and equip leaders across the ministries of Renton Bible Church in partnership with our Lead Pastor. He will have a heart to see men, women, and children become more like Jesus and the unique ability to build and strengthen systems, processes, and leaders towards that end.
Alongside the Lead Pastor and lay elders, he will give pastoral care to the community and will also preach and teach semi-regularly. This role will report to the Lead Pastor.

- A disciple of Jesus who has made disciples of Jesus
- Meets the elder and deacon qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-9
- Willing to join and engage with Renton Bible Church as an active member
- Aligned with RBC’s theological beliefs, distinctives, and ministry vision

As we approach our 100th anniversary (2035), we look to God to continue the revitalizing work of the last decade by developing and equipping leaders for the spiritual formation of fully devoted disciples.
- 5+ years of pastoral leadership experience preferred
- Bachelors degree;
Seminary Degree preferred
- Leads and supports newcomer ministries (connect card responses, tracking, attendee spreadsheet, email lists, visitation).
- Oversees pathways for assimilation in outreach, fellowship, serving, and Bible studies/seminars/classes; provides project management for special events.
- Coordinates and participates in one-to-one and life on life discipleship opportunities.
- Connects with newcomers before and after Sunday morning worship and in various church-wide ministry events.
- Edits/updates website on a weekly basis and submits needs/opportunities to bulletin and newsletter.
- Partner with the Lead Pastor and the Leadership Team to clarify and strengthen our leadership development pathway and to recruit, develop, and equip leaders.
- Oversees leadership development across church ministries working with elders to create leadership development pathways.
- Lead, develop, and support key leaders for our men’s, women’s, children’s and, with a special emphasis on, youth ministries.
- Works with elders to facilitate Step‑Step growth and CLASS series, and other ministries that advance our mission.
- Supports tech ministries from office tech to worship tech, troubleshooting challenges, and guiding upgrades and process improvements.
- Partners with the Lead Pastor and elders to provide pastoral care and shepherding for the church.
- Preaches semi‑regularly (3‑6 × a year); occasional teaching.
- Labors in prayer for the church.
- Performs other duties as assigned/needed by the Lead Pastor.
