Job DescriptionContract:
Temporary.
Per diem:
For candidates living +110 miles away from the location.
The role involves assembling, installing, sealing, rigging, inspecting, and completing precision and structural components. You’ll work from technical drawings, documents, and established processes to ensure parts and systems meet quality and performance standards.
- Review and interpret blueprints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and verbal or electronic directions.
- Apply shop math and use precision measuring or testing instruments to check and verify parts and assemblies.
- Use specialized tools and fixtures to put together components into subassemblies or final assemblies.
- Check that work meets engineering and process specifications.
- Report any discrepancies according to procedures.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are certified and in good condition.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance (e.g., replacing filters or light bulbs, checking fluid levels).
- Move parts and products within the work area using approved equipment.
- Log and complete production transactions to move items through operations.
- Complete tasks within assigned time limits and maintain production flow.
- Help maintain a steady workflow by training and assisting coworkers at all levels.
- Participate in cross‑training to develop versatility across different assembly areas.
- Train other employees in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.
- Cross‑train in inspection and become SIA (Self‑Inspection Authorization) qualified.

This step involves conducting a comprehensive background check, which includes reviewing criminal history, and other relevant records. Additionally, a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). screening will be carried out to ensure compliance with federal regulations for safety‑sensitive positions. - You start your next challenge!
- Require 5+ years of sheet metal experience in aerospace industry. Please note that experience in other industries will not be considered – aerospace assembly experience is required.
- This position is subject to ITAR regulations; therefore, candidates must be U.S. citizens.
- Must be able to work any shift.
- Must be eligible for rehire at BOEING.
- Must be able to pass the Plate Test during 1st week of training.
- Must be able to attend training in Wichita, KS (flights or mileage reimbursement).
- Hotel reimbursement available for training period only in Wichita.
- Weekly per diem of $110 USD.
