We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support our facilities team in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment. This hands‑on role involves general building maintenance, landscaping, and assisting the Maintenance Director with daily operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general building maintenance: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety systems
- Complete and document work orders as assigned, reporting issues to supervisor
- Keep exterior grounds clean and appealing, including garden debris removal
- Power wash walkways and structures; maintain grounds and building cleanliness
- Assist and learn from Maintenance Director in managing facilities
- Be available for on‑call duties, including evenings and weekends
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- GED or High School diploma preferred
- 1+ year of experience with facility maintenance, building systems, or landscaping preferred
- WA State Driver License with clean record
- Proficient with power tools and general repair/maintenance skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions
- Lift up to 50 lbs; push 250 lb residents or carts
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and perform repetitive arm/hand movements
