Overview
An Electrical Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling crews to complete work orders, including assigning tasks, ensuring high-quality installation, and performing quality inspections. Monitors task completion, compliance, and safety issues.
Responsibilities
- Planning productivity for assigned scope of work
- Organizing material by areas/floors and tracking inventories
- Identifying tools and equipment needed for crews, managing tool inspections and sign-out sheets
- Preparing information packages for each crew activity
- Managing breaks and tracking loss time
- Submitting daily hour/unit reports for crews
- Conducting quality control inspections following established plans and checklists
- Ensuring professional and high-quality installation work
- Maintaining and updating as-built drawings weekly
- Inventory management for tools and equipment, including weekly reports and incident reports for lost/stolen/damaged tools
- Reviewing and storing AHA’s and submitting weekly equipment inspection sheets
- Reporting and investigating accidents/incidents within 24 hours
- Ensuring work area cleanliness and safety at day’s end
Quality of Work
- Ensuring installations meet codes, contractual obligations, and quality standards
- Implementing and documenting the Project Quality Plan
- Participating in QAQC processes and documentation
- Addressing discrepancies and quality issues promptly
- Participating in design reviews for constructability and quality meetings
Qualifications
- 6+ years of electrical industry experience with a High School diploma or GED
- 4+ years of experience with an Associate degree
Abilities
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights up to 60 feet, and perform physical tasks
- Ability to operate ladders and scaffolds safely
- Good vision, hearing, and communication skills
- Problem recognition and logical reasoning skills
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze information
