Job Overview
Front Office Hosts are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience.
Responsibilities- Answer multi-line phones in a courteous, professional manner
- Create new reservations either in person, via email or by telephone
- Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
- Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet their requests, hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs
- Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
- Research and resolve disputed charges for guests
- Follow up with guest regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues
- Process all checkouts including resolving any late and disputed charges; answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
- Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy
- Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks; balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications
- Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model
- Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Previous customer service experience including cash & credit cards in a service provider industry; hospitality a plus
- Friendly and outgoing with a good attitude and professionalism
- Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Ability to multi-task, make solid business decisions with minimal supervision and work well under pressure
- Computer knowledge using a windows environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Availability for days, nights, mid shifts, weekends and holidays preferred

The salary range for this position is $21.57 to $27.30. The starting hourly rate is $21.57. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.
