- Pay Rate: $22.90 – $28.30/hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Flexibility: Weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization to patients seeking diagnostic services. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while ensuring a safe, accurate, and compassionate patient experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
- Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of patient information
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, and the public
Skills & Qualifications
- Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Keyboarding and data entry proficiency
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
- Licensure (Required): Washington State Phlebotomy License
- Preferred:
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
- Patient Service Center setting
- Fast-paced clinical environment
- Not eligible for remote work
