Job Summary
Phlebotomist II Float – Renton, WA – Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Requires a state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV). Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination required.
About the RoleIn a float role you will be assigned a territory covering phlebotomist duties across patient service centers, doctors’ offices, or as business needs dictate. You’ll draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for lab testing, and handle billing and payment. You’ll coach, mentor, and serve as a resource for new employees and staff, and may travel to additional sites.
Pay & BenefitsPay range: $26.05 – $30.15 per hour. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may earn annual performance bonuses.

- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
- Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
- Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
- Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees; provide regular input to group lead or supervisor.
- Travel to additional doctor’s office or patient service center sites when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington; preferred otherwise.
- Three years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).
- Minimum two years in a patient service center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
