PositionSummary
We are seeking a Controls / Automation Engineer with experience developing, programming, and commissioning process control systems. This role involves implementing control strategies, designing control panels, specifying instrumentation, and programming commonly used PLC and HMI platforms. The position includes a mix of office-based engineering work and on-site field support, with occasional domestic and international travel.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and modify PLC programs based on control strategies and project specifications
Program HMI and SCADA systems, from stand-alone applications to redundant distributed architectures
Design control panels and specify electrical and automation components, including full drawing packages
Develop system specifications, sequences of operation, control narratives, and cause-and-effect diagrams
Create and execute system testing and commissioning plans
Specify, configure, and integrate field instrumentation
Support system commissioning activities, including on-site and remote field support
Prepare specifications for software, servers, and automation-related purchases
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complete automation solutions
Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
2+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation or controls engineering
Working knowledge of computer configuration and industrial networking
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Micro Station
Technical Platforms & Experience (Preferred)Rockwell Logix / Studio 5000

Experience with additional platforms such as historians, ignition-based SCADA, cybersecurity, alarm management, or safety systems is a plus but not required.
