Position Purpose
You will support the temperature controls division of the Building Automation/Temperature Controls business unit through the preparation/engineering of submittals. Ensuring all systems are installed, programmed, and commissioned as specified. Instructing site personnel on operations and maintenance for control systems. Using your expertise in the commercial HVAC industry, you will perform installation, warranty, emergency, and maintenance service on installed temperature control systems based on project specifications.
Advise the Construction Manager/Sales engineer of system deficiencies, customer complaints, and additional sales potential.
Pay Range: $55.29 - $74.52 per hour plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties or tasks assigned as required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
- Complete assigned projects according to proposal, drawings, and specifications, cost estimates, customer expectations, and time frames by effectively managing and executing contractual obligations in concert with LONG project management procedures.
- Direct engineering, preparation of submittals and installation drawings, selection, ordering and scheduling of materials, plus providing installations at the jobsite within the estimated costs indicated on the sales estimate.
- Perform calibration and check-out of control systems, and ensure that systems are programmed and commissioned, as specified, and that installed equipment is controlled per the manufacturers recommendations and LONG standards.
- Attend regularly scheduled on-site project meetings.
- Develop and maintain procedures for the acceptance of completed work (i.e. checkout sheets completed and submitted, and checkout procedures followed).
- Assist the graphics coordinator and/or provide the labor and expertise for the preparation and delivery of graphical user interfaces when required for projects in accordance with LONG standards and contract documents.
- Provide information to update drawings and keep records of equipment for as-built documentation (submit all redlined drafting to application engineers).
- Provide on-site assistance with or perform programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes. Participate in job site final walk-through, complete all job closeout documentation, and provide customer training.
- Act as a technical resource to customers and field employees.
- Advises construction manager and sales personnel regarding system deficiencies and/or customer complaints and advises appropriate building intelligence personnel
- Available and able to coordinate warranty, after hour, emergency, and maintenance service on installed systems
- Advises construction manager or sales account manager of additional sales potential (both service and contract related)
- Always abides by all LONG Building Technologies and OSHA safety regulations
- Informs customer of LONG service agreement availability while performing start-up, commissioning, and owner training tasks
- Other duties assigned.
