Maintenance Technician

Essential Functions

• Schedule and prioritize various building and production equipment maintenance tasks
• Work closely with vendors and contractors to complete scheduled work orders
• Work closely with management, leadership teams, building landlord and contractors to address building security, fire, safety and other time sensitive issues immediately and efficiently.
• Perform highly diversified duties to maintain facility’s equipment, including emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance of equipment during operations using skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Early detection of faulty operations, defective material. Plan repairs, report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Maintain and schedule service as needed for material handling trucks and flooded lead-acid batteries.
• Maintain logs of spare parts inventory for all production equipment and flooded lead-acid batteries for EPA reporting.
• Be budget and production impact-minded in repairs and projects related to all maintenance and facilities, considering workload and customers.
• General Facilities Maintenance to include Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, Cleaning, Concrete Repair.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintaining a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment including conveyors, sorters and various other types of mechanized equipment, preferably in a warehouse/distribution facility
• Working knowledge of conveyor systems and controls
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite/Windows
