Journeyman‑HVAC – Renown Health – Reno, NV

Salary: $70,000.00 – $

Full‑time

• Maintain and operate all heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to provide optimal indoor air quality and patient comfort.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in HVAC, electrical, pneumatic and control components.
• Operate Direct Digital Control (DDC) and building automation systems.
• Coordinate scheduled shutdowns with affected departments and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and minor repairs as authorized by department policy.

• Minimum five (5) years of journeyman‑level experience in HVAC&R, including single and multi‑zone air‑conditioning units, compressors, cooling towers, boilers and chillers.
• Proficient in 480 V electric, pneumatic and DDC controls with the ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot automatically‑controlled systems.
• Valid State of Nevada or California driver’s license and satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle report.
• Certified Refrigeration Technician per federal requirements.
• Strong writing, reading and speaking skills in English.
• Knowledge of national electrical code, SMACNA duct standards, ASHRAE standards and OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Computer skills: ability to complete online learning, benefits enrollment and policy access within 90 days.
