Plant Technician

The Central Plant Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all boilers, chillers, and computerized controls of related equipment for the entire property central plant.

• Report to work timely, in proper uniform and appearance, and maintain standards throughout the assigned shift.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on all boilers, chillers, and related equipment.
• Have basic knowledge of:
• Working efficiently and safely with all hand and power tools.
• Installing or assisting outside contractors on larger installation projects.
• Assisting outside contractors on maintenance service contracts.
• Responding to thermostat changes for various department requests at the central plant.
• Working around electrical, water, and gas feed lines.

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in the trade and certification in HVAC recovery, chiller, and boiler controls.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, flexible, and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidence.
