Job Title: HVAC Technician in Reno

• Perform skilled mechanical duties in startup, repairs, installation, preventive maintenance, and routine servicing of HVAC equipment.

• On-site startup technician for various manufacturers.
• Troubleshoot installation and control systems.
• Use reasoning and logic to solve issues.
• Communicate with installers.
• Program new control systems using touchscreens and computers.
• Document actions taken on the job site in service reports.
• Read wiring diagrams during troubleshooting.
• Complete startup documentation and submit for warranty entry.
• Perform other duties and assignments.
• Maintain regular good attendance.

• Standard practices of the HVAC trade.
• Theory of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Computer usage: basic data entry and ability to navigate email, internet, and word processing programs.
• Materials, methods, and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the HVAC and refrigeration trade, including brazing and soldering techniques.
• Health and safety regulations.
• Basic record‑keeping techniques.
• Proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
• Two years of HVAC training program.

• Valid Nevada License.
• Active EPA Universal Technician Certification.
