Join to apply for the Account Executive role at Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. (BCI). This position generates new business and meets sales goals to achieve maximum profitability and growth within the assigned sales territory.
Responsibilities- Perform all duties from a foundation of trust and the highest ethical conduct, following established safety rules, company policies, and procedures.
- Generate new business and meet or exceed sales goals.
- Help determine product specifications, quotes, and pricing.
- Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports.
- Compile and analyze prospective customer information within the sales territory to develop a prospect list.
- Utilize company project management & customer engagement software (PORT, ZOHO).
- Make sales calls and give sales presentations to a range of prospective customers.
- Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders.
- Visit customers and potential customers to evaluate needs while promoting additional products and services.
- Maintain customer records and relationships with key customer contacts.
- Answer customer questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
- Perform packaging audits and work closely with the BCI Design Team to create value‑added solutions in a timely manner.
- Full‑time role involving regular travel to BCI plants, customers’ facilities, and trade shows.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly build rapport with customers and suppliers.
- Highly motivated and results‑oriented individual who can work well both independently and within a team environment.
- Demonstrates an aptitude for problem‑solving; ability to determine solutions for customers with a consultative and personalized sales approach.
- Commitment to excellent customer service and knowledgeable of industry standards.
- Effectively manages time working under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in sales/marketing.
- Minimum of 3‑5 years sales experience (corrugated packaging/manufacturing industry preferred).
- Must live in, or within a reasonable distance of, the geographical sales territory assigned, as determined by BCI.
