Overview
Animal Medical Center of Reno is seeking a licensed veterinarian to join our AAHA-accredited small animal and exotics practice in the South Reno area. This is a full-time position (part-time considered if a good fit) with a focus on preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, emergency/urgent care, and occasional house calls. We offer digital radiography (including dental), digital ultrasound, therapeutic laser, and in-house laboratory capabilities.
We are introducing holistic modalities and functional medicine, and applicants with these skills or interests are encouraged to inquire.

Responsibilities- Provide medical care for small animals and exotics, including preventative medicine, dentistry, and emergency/urgent care.
- Perform routine surgeries such as spay, neuter, mass removals, dentistry, and dental extractions.
- Communicate with clients in a professional and friendly manner in exams and over the phone to discuss lab results and treatment plans.
- Familiarize yourself with and utilize our EMR software and online client chat service efficiently.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality care and participate in ongoing learning, including holistic modalities/functional medicine if applicable.
- Current licensure as a Veterinarian in the state of Nevada.
- 2+ years of veterinary practice experience.
- Ability to perform routine surgeries and related procedures noted above.
- Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- Experience with the practice’s software and EMR is preferred; willingness to learn quickly.
- Certification of holistic modalities or experience with exotics is a plus.
