• Work in the Sierra Med/Tele unit (Sierra
  1) of a large regional medical center.
• Provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families/caregivers.
• Schedule is 3x12‑hour day shifts per week, may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
• No on‑call requirements outside of scheduled shifts.
• Floating to other units within the organization may be required up to the traveler's competency level.
• Use Epic for charting; training provided during orientation or candidate may test out.
• Use Kronos for time keeping.
• 13‑week contract.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Facility is the only Level II Trauma Center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City, serving over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually.
• Facility hosts the region's only children’s hospital and Institute for Neurosciences, as well as accredited heart failure, robotic surgery, and comprehensive cancer services.
• Coverage for a minimum of two major holidays will be required.
• One additional shift pick‑up will be required during the scheduling period.
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted.
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must take a minimum 13‑week break after their last contract before returning.
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration; time is not added to the end of the contract to compensate for approved RTO.

• Active NV RN license required prior to start; RNs who have never held a NV temp or permanent license may apply and must apply immediately upon offer.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required.
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips.
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position.
