Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience, open heart training including Post Op Day 0, and proficiency with IABP and Impella devices.

Job Details

• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting in a hospital environment,

• Cares for complex cardiac surgical patients including post-operative open heart surgery (Day
0) cases,

• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella devices required,

Schedule:

3x12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week),

• 14-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active NV RN license required (no pending licenses accepted),

• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA-issued only),

• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience in a US hospital required,

• Open heart surgery experience including Post Op Day 0 required,

• Proficiency with IABP and Impella devices required,

• Strong organizational and leadership skills required,

• Thorough knowledge of arrhythmia management, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics required,

• Ability to perform expert patient assessment and analysis,

• Strong communication, coordination, and delegation skills in a high-stakes environment required,

• US Social Security Number required,

• Date of birth required for consideration,

• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months (at least one from most recent employer),

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,
