Job Details
• Work setting is a hospital-based Medical and Telemetry unit,
• Patient population includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, COVID, and post-procedure patients (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and OHS patients downgraded from ICU),
• Non-titratable cardiac medication drips administered (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro),
• Charting is done via Epic EMR; training provided during orientation or candidates may test out,
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM,
• Floating may be required to ICUs (for telemetry/medically appropriate assignments), med/surg units, and a sister facility,
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts,
• No on-call requirements beyond potential call shifts as part of the regular schedule,
Job Requirements
• Active NV RN license required prior to start; candidates who have never held a NV temp or perm license may be considered and must apply immediately upon offer,
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required,
• Candidates must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring rhythm strips - failure results in contract termination,

• Fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius; though not a Level I Trauma Center, volume and pace are comparable to one,
• Nationally recognized hospital ranked in the top 1% nationwide for care in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical procedures,
• Care is provided to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment,
• Minimum of 2 major holidays required during the contract,
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period,
• A 13-week break is required before returning travelers may begin a new contract at this facility, regardless of prior contract length,
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted,
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be added to the end of the contract,
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted,
• All assignments are 13 weeks in duration,
