Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (nights) position at a high-risk OB unit in Reno, NV, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and an active NV RN license.

• High-risk OB unit with 15 labor beds, 9 antepartum beds, and 3 OR suites
• Night shift schedule: 3x12, 1845–0715
• May be required to float to other maternal units, including postpartum and NICU
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• No on-call requirements
• Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius with the volume and pace of a Level I Trauma Center
• EMR:
  Epic (training provided during orientation, or candidates may test out)
• 13-week contract
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• A minimum of 2 major holidays will be required during the assignment
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must take a 13-week break after their contract ends before returning
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration; time off is not added to the end of the contract to compensate for RTO
• KRONOS is used for timekeeping

• Active NV RN license required prior to start (RNs who have never held a NV temp or permanent license may apply and must apply immediately upon offer)
• Required certifications (AHA only): NRP, BLS, and ACLS; STABLE preferred
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience in a high-risk hospital setting
