Overview

Sierra Medical Center is part of Northern Nevada Health System, a regional multi‑facility system that offers a 170‑bed acute care hospital with services including 24/7 ER, cardiology, oncology, labor and delivery, level II NICU, surgical and orthopedic services, and more.

Per‑day opportunity with full benefits and a flexible schedule, providing direct and indirect patient care in a medical‑surgical setting under the supervision of a registered nurse preceptor. Must be willing to float to all units.

• Complete bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Ensure patient has contact information for care team members on the communication board every shift.
• Consistently complete hourly rounds and assess 5 P’s (pain, potty, position, periphery, alert) and report issues to RN.
• Perform patient care for pediatric, geriatric, and general population considering the standard of care.
• Maintain patient safety and reduce likelihood of medical errors.

• Current CNA license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Prefer one year experience in an acute care/behavioral health setting
