Willow Springs Center is looking for compassionate, caring and dedicated PER DIEM NOC Registered Nurses for our Residential Treatment Facility in Reno, Nevada.

Our nurses provide professional nursing care to youth in a residential treatment setting in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include identifying patient health care needs through physical and behavioral nursing assessments, making comprehensive clinical observations, and evaluating health needs including changes in condition.

Nurses develop nursing care plans by assessing the patient’s psychological and physical condition and creating plans for treatment, services and health education based on present and predicted needs. They participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and collaborate with professional and para-professional staff to ensure optimum care for our patients.

Nurses administer medications as prescribed, ensure correct time, dosage and route, monitor for side effects and allergic reactions, observe effectiveness of treatment, and document findings. They help maintain safety, health and well-being of the children in the therapeutic environment and may make crucial decisions to restrain patients who pose a threat to themselves or others as necessary.

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: At least one year in a health care setting. Prior psychiatric experience preferred.

SHIFT REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 36 hours per month, including full 12-hour shifts and partial shifts.
