Overview

This ER Registered Nurse opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week, offering full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule.

Location:

7515 Sky Vista Parkway, Reno, Nevada; NNHS - ER at North Valleys. Salary: $41.90/Hr.

- $61.27/Hr., with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Performs head-to-toe assessments on all patients and conducts reassessments per policy, including pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
  • Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care; accurately assigns triage categories.
  • Monitors hemodynamic status and correctly interprets results.
  • Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes pain management techniques, and educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
Minimum/Preferred Requirements
  • Current NV RN License
  • Two to three years of experience in the emergency department (preferred) OR
  • Two to three years of critical care experience OR
  • Extensive EMS background experience
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Job Responsibilities /Duties
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.
  • Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
